For this project, I designed the lookout tower in the Rosarium of Vondelpark, inspired by the hexagonal shapes of the existing planters. The tower’s façade features hexagonal PV panels that generate solar energy by day and provide ambient lighting by night. Combining wood and steel integrates the tower into the park while creating a subtle contrast. A helical staircase, inspired by a DNA structure, adds both originality and aesthetic appeal, making the tower unique.
